Summer forum

La Fonderie is a group of christian artists who meet monthly to discuss issues of art and faith.

Every year in June, we invite artists, curators, producers and creators to a summer forum held in Paris around the "Fête de la musique"

The number of participants is limited to 12 and the conversations are bilingual, english and french.

For the 2022 edition, the Forum will take
place from the 17th to the 21st of June.

THEME

LIGHT

And there was light ! From the beginning the Creator works with light. Artists also use light on a daily basis in their work. But what exactly are we talking about?

Of a physical phenomenon? Of a metaphysical force?

The five days of the forum will be an opportunity to explore this theme of light in our spiritual lives and in our artistic work. We will go in the city museums, galleries, churches to discover together how light can come and visit darkness...

The forum expand the theme treated throughout the year during the evenings of La Fonderie. It is an opportunity to meet other artists and discover how La Fonderie works and is inspired by Paris, the "city of light".

PROGRAM

Meditative time

Every day, we start with meditation and sharing on the theme of Light. We meet in the Pavé d'Orsay, an art gallery created by La Fonderie in the heart of the "Carré Rive Gauche", the antiques and gallery district in Paris opposite to the Louvre and next to the Musée d'Orsay.

Gardens

The participants eat lunch and diner together with the members of the team and the guests of the day to have relax time of connection and discussion. We have picnics and apéro in different gardens and restaurants of the city to discover and taste the beauty of french culture.

Art masterpieces

Every afternoon, we visit an emblematic place in the city of Paris: exhibitions, sacred places (Sainte Chapelle), museums (Louvre and Musée d'Orsay) and historical districts.

Artist talk

The visits are prepared and commented by an invited speaker who will present the links of the works with the theme of Light and spirituality.

Restaurants

At the end of the day, we have dinner together either in the form of an aperitif during an exhibition or an artist meeting, or in a restaurant.

Festivals

Finally, in the evening we discover a music festival in a sacred place and meet Parisians on the evening of the music festival which takes place every year on June 21.
